  32. The easy way is with a chromakeyer/Ultimatte.  If you don't have
  33. one, you're going to have to do your own matting.  It involves
  34. clipping out the blue BG (HINT: Be sure you're not putting any
  35. blue in the "foreground" object or it too will clip out) leaving
  36. your foreground abject isolated in space.

  38. Any way you do this w/o a keyer, it's going to be a lot of work. 
  39. You may (may!) be able to save it out as an image sequence and do
  40. "transparency" compositing, but if so, you're better off shooting
  41. against a piece of black velour and being very careful with
  42. lighting, especially use a good backlight for definition.
  43.  
  44. If you're doing blue-screen, try putting a piece of 1/4 CTO on
  45. the backlight, blue bounce can "dirty-up" your edges otherwise. 
  46. It really cleans up the blue-screen process and doesn't really
  47. change the look of your scene.  (1/4 CTO is a _mild_ orange
  48. color-correction, and re-colors blue "bounce" from a backdrop so
  49. it doesn't affect the compositing process.)
